Richard comes from a CPG background with deep strategic and functional expertise in Digital Marketing and CRM. Over the last 15 years, working and consulting in London, Amsterdam and Sydney for drinks giant Diageo and the not-for-profit sector, he has delivered in-market CRM solutions in GB, regional mobile and social media solutions across Africa, and a digital focus for Johnnie Walker globally.
Richard’s passion lies in galvanising an organisation behind a consumer orientated vision that will step change growth. This was exemplified in Diageo GB where he is credited for bringing CRM into focus, and using that focus to future proof the business through Relationship Marketing. He is passionate about consumers, bringing a consumer focused digital agenda to the forefront of Diageo Africa’s 5 year vision, consulting across multiple markets, including consultation on a Guinness mobile based social network in Nigeria that has recruited an unprecedented 800,000 consumers in 8 months. Richard’s holistic digital background has led him to deliver digital capability training to over 150 marketing professionals across 10 markets in Europe and Africa.
