Dave is a senior international consultant, and believes that the best customer focus and experience is achieved through the combination of a powerful brand together with integrated marketing and sales strategies.   He also believes in clear and direct communication, both inside the organization and externally.

Dave’s career includes a world-class grounding in marketing, customer management and brand management with Unilever, starting in South Africa, and taking him to a global marketing role and a regional customer management role, both based in London.  He then joined Barclays International as Head of Sales where he oversaw record performance levels, and then joined Standard Bank as Marketing Director where he led a range of brand communications initiatives in some of the world's key emerging markets - including Brazil, Argentina, Turkey, China, Russia and Africa.  

Dave moved into consulting by founding Baobab Brands, a niche consultancy helping businesses grow to the next level - locally and internationally - by helping them strengthen their proposition, customer franchise and brand reputation.  He and his partners around the world have a special focus on emerging markets.

He is also a Director of The Ethical Brand Foundation and Ethical Brand Limited, the world’s leading authority on ethical brands, and the only global symbol of ethical brands that are authenticated in real-time by stakeholder experience.  He is also a Director of Happy Child International, a leading charity rescuing and reintegrating Brazilian street children and their families.

Dave’s association with The Customer Framework combines his broad range of experience from launching Dove in South Africa to re-branding a full-service bank in Argentina, together with TCF’s strong customer management capabilities, processes and track record.
